The Client's Needs

DIN Associates and Fenwick desired illuminated counters, walls, and columns as a bespoke design solution to lighting their new Cosmetics Hall. Scriptus was required to produce low heat emitting bespoke edgelit lighting to be suitable within an environment of heat-sensitive products.

The Scriptus Solution

Based on the Montage Modular System, evenly illuminated walls of light were created using the diffusing medium of glass or satin acrylic for displays along the walls of the Hall. The ultra-slim units were adapted to create curved illuminated counters and spectacular 4m high illuminated columns, clad in sand-blasted glass.

The Features and Benefits

The special edgelit panels used for the illuminated counters, walls, columns remain cool during operation; this makes them ideal for displaying heat-sensitive products such as cosmetics as well as providing a more comfortable working environment for members of staff.

The low heat output was also viewed by Fenwicks as a significant feature in reducing air conditioning and general maintenance costs. The range of bespoke edgelit products in the Scriptus portfolio meant Fenwicks used only one manufacturer to produce the illuminated counters, walls and columns which are now an impressive design feature of their Cosmetics Hall.
