Selfridges
The Client's Needs
As part of the refurbishment of the menswear department at the Trafford Centre Store, Selfridges required the manufacture of a bespoke architectural lighting system to compliment the cutting-edge store design.
The Scriptus Solution
We utilised our lighting product portfolio to create a cost-effective bespoke lighting system. Forty square panels made from stochastic Prismex acrylic are suspended from the ceiling in two parallel rows which bisect the department. Each panel is illuminated on one edge by RGB LED Lighting, linked to a DMX control unit which creates a wealth of changing scenes in a variety of shades.
The Features and Benefits
The newly refurbished menswear department at Selfridges Trafford Centre now boasts a "first" of its kind bespoke lighting product in the shape of a colour-changing ceiling display. The soft diffusion of light through the rows of panels produces a unique effect. The utilisation of LED lighting technology is cost-effective as it is low heat emitting, and reduces air conditioning and maintenance costs.
